Matcha Tasting & Workshop at The Westin Manila

Jacque and Matcha is back in partnership with The Westin Manila will be holding a matcha workshop and tasting. A perfect opportunity for you to learn more about this popular tea from Japan! 

We go past preparation methods and do a deep-dive on how matcha is grown and processed to give you a better understanding of what goes into your cup. 

Dates: June 27, 2026; July 18, 2026 (Registration will open mid-June) 
Location: The Westin Manila, San Miguel Avenue cor. Lourdes Drive, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City
Time: 2pm to 5pm (maybe 6pm)  

Inclusions: 

• Learn about matcha (and also about hōjicha) - history, Chadō, farming techniques, processes, grades, cultivars, sourcing, tools, storage, and preparation
• Demonstration and hands-on exercise on how to whisk matcha 
• Welcome drink (Mizudashi)
• Matcha and Hōjicha powder tasting
• Recipes and ratios
• Make your own matcha and/or hōjicha latte 
• Matcha making accessories to use during the workshop
• Afternoon Tea savory and sweet snacks
